Update: Nuon
Nuon has finished the timed component of the Panasonic World Solar Challenge. Their official arrival time is 16:54.
Update: Queens
Queens are south of Alice Springs. They've just pulled over into a rest area after blowing a tyre on their trailer. The tyre has been fixed and they're continuing to trailer their vehicle to Cadney Control.
Update: Nuon
Departed Port Augusta. Is not expected into Victoria Square until 10am tomorrow morning.
Update: Stanford
The Event Director has spoken with the Team Manager from Stanford. He reports that the solar car blew a tire, then ran off the road, hit a rock, and tipped over.
No injuries occurred.
The Stanford car is now being trailered to Adelaide.
Update: Stanford
We received report from a team member from Stanford that their solar vehicle experienced a mechanical failure and as a result their car rolled.
The report stated that "No-one has been hurt or injured."
The event occurred 371km South of Alice Springs.
Update: Nuon
Nuon advises us that their level of confidence of arriving in Adelaide today is low.
Other information currently available suggests that there is low hanging cloud over the Eyre Penninsula to the Mt Lofty ranges. Forecasters report that this is expected to burn off later in the day.
When will they arrive?
The answer depends entirely on circumstances on the road. As soon as we have information to help you arrive at Victoria Square on time to celebrate, this blog will be updated.
